Encoded radio signals are picked up and two Romulan gunboats are found in the sexton system by units of Starfleet’s 12th squadron. Communications are cut off and the Yorktown is sent to investigate finding one of the romulan vessels mostly intact with a bomb that should have went off. Plus Samuels is found to have caught a deadly infection on "The Outpost"
