Unto the Breach Part 1

A Starfleet Admiral stakes claim to an area of space the Enterprise found 2 years before which was then claimed by the "Romulan Star Empire" and was covered by "cloaked" mines. The mines were removed, Romulans confronted but a fleet of Starfleet's ships. The Romulans back down only to wait until they build a base in the region and then destory it in its opening event along with several other ships thus starting the Romulan/Earth conflict

“The Atlas”

A recorder buoy recovered in deep space and is found to be from the long lost S.S. Atlas sent out on a survey mission 5 years ago. The Commander of the Atlas is the brother of Lt Samuels who takes this news very seriously. The log of the Atlas is played and the mystery of the Atlas is finally solved as we find it was one of the 1^st victims’ of the Romulan War.

“Sighted Man of Peace”

Councilman Abraham Dannon addresses Starfleet with his now famous “Sighted Man of Peace” speech recommending a peace treaty with the romulans. During the speech he is assassinated by an unknown spectator which escapes on a federation corvette cruiser which is mostly automated. Stiles and crew are sent in pursuit of the assassin to stop at all costs when he is suspected of being a Romulan Agent

“The Wounded”

Starfleet picks up encoded radio signals and run upon 2 Romulan gunboats that they surround and crippled in the sexton system by units of Starfleet’s 12^th squadron. The Romulan ships self destruct as several ships maneuver close for boarding. “4” Starfleet destroyers are destroyed with all hands. Communications are cut off and the Yorktown is sent to investigate finding one of the romulan vessels mostly intact with a bomb that should have went off.  Stiles and crew take the chance of getting their hands on the romulan star empires flag ship. But they need help from another starship so the Enterprise is called on to watch their back as another signal marks the return of more romulan ships in the area.
